Title: GitHub Copilot & AI in Action: From Prompt Engineering to Practical Integration
As part of AI CONCLAVE 2.0 organized by the School of Computing Sciences (Departments of CSE, IT, AIML, AIDS, and CSBS) at K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology, I had the honor of serving as a Resource Person for a highly engaging session on AI tools in real-world development workflows.
This session, titled “GitHub Copilot & AI in Action”, offered a hands-on introduction to how artificial intelligence is transforming software development. The talk began by demystifying GitHub Copilot—an AI-powered code assistant that redefines developer productivity through intelligent code suggestions.
We then dived into the principles of Prompt Engineering, exploring how well-crafted prompts lead to powerful and accurate AI outputs, both in code and content. A key highlight of the session was a Hands-on Lab (HOL) using GitHub Copilot, allowing participants to experience AI-assisted coding first-hand.
