Saqib Khan is a Data Architect and Engineering Leader with 18 years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade data platforms across banking, insurance, aviation, retail, and global mobility domains. His work has focused on building large-scale, mission-critical data ecosystems that support regulatory reporting, financial governance, and high-volume operational analytics.
Saqib specializes in cloud and data engineering technologies, including Snowflake, Microsoft Azure (ADF, Synapse), AWS, Apache Airflow, IBM DataStage, and enterprise ETL/ELT frameworks. He is recognized for architecting metadata-driven ingestion and orchestration platforms that standardize data pipelines, improve auditability, and significantly reduce delivery timelines while modernizing legacy systems.
In his current role as Senior Lead Solution Consultant at Northern Trust, Saqib has architected the Corporate Data Platform, a metadata-driven Python and Snowflake framework orchestrated with Airflow. The platform enables standardized ingestion from multiple enterprise sources and has accelerated development cycles while improving reliability and governance. His work also includes designing hybrid orchestration models, delivering executive-level analytics dashboards, and developing proof-of-concept solutions leveraging natural-language analytics.
Previously, as Data Engineering Manager at Envoy Global, Saqib led the design and delivery of the company’s enterprise data warehouse on Azure Synapse. He authored reusable ELT frameworks, implemented CI/CD pipelines, led a global data engineering team, optimized cloud costs, and engineered rule-based PII masking solutions to ensure sensitive immigration data was protected in non-production environments. He also designed API-based analytics integrations with Salesforce and ChurnZero to enable customer lifecycle and revenue visibility.
Earlier in his career at Hexaware Technologies, Teradata, Capgemini, and client engagements including Northern Trust, American Airlines, Lloyd’s Marine Insurance, and Marks & Spencer, Saqib designed regulatory-grade financial data warehouses, audit and observability frameworks, UNIX-based orchestration systems, and high-performance SQL and dimensional modeling solutions. His architectures became enterprise standards across multiple organizations, strengthening governance, audit readiness, and operational efficiency.
Saqib holds multiple industry certifications, including Azure Data Engineering Associate (DP-203), Azure Fundamentals, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Python Programmer, Teradata Certified Professional, AWS Technical Accreditation, and IBM DataStage certification. He holds an MBA in IT & Operations and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.
