Sara Evans is a technical assistance consultant for American Institutes for Research (AIR). She provides technical assistance and coaching in the areas of special education and multi-tied systems of support. She has extensive experience coaching districts, school leaders, and educators in the process of building sustainable systems that support all students, including students with diverse learning needs. She brings expertise in the development and implementation of special education services, developing leaders’ knowledge and application of skills related to IDEA, transition services, future planning, providing technical assistance focused on supporting educators’ skill development in data-based decision making, behavioral interventions and leveraging data-based individualization to deliver special designed instruction. As a co-lead on the Lead IDEA project and a TA provider for PROGRESS Center she guides the development and implementation of TA materials designed to bring the general and special education field together allowing for collaboration and improved outcomes for our exceptional learners.
