Sara is a consultant, currently living in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She brings nearly 25 years in the NB public service, holding senior roles spanning multiple departments. She served as Chief Privacy Officer for the New Brunswick Department of Health for eight years and Director of Access to Information at the New Brunswick Department of Finance and Treasury Board for five years. Sara has been working in the field of information access and privacy since 2010, and holds a CIPP/C designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, a Certificate in Information Access and Protection of Privacy from the University of Alberta, a Certificate on Indigenous Canada from the University of Alberta, and a Certificate on the Fundamentals of OCAP© from the First Nations Information Governance Centre. With a background in sociology and public policy, Sara brings a unique perspective to her information access and privacy pursuits.
