Sarah Titus has lived her entire life in the Greater Rochester Area. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Concentration in Education as well as a Master’s Degree in Literacy Education. In 2005, she began her teaching journey at Greece Athena Middle School as a Special Education Teacher. In 2020, she took on the role as the Greece Central Equity Coach in addition to teaching. In 2021 she made the move out of the classroom and took a position as a Teacher on Special Assignment as an Instructional Leader for SEL and Equity. She now works with all 18 schools in Greece Central. Not only does Sarah work and live in Greece, but she has five children going through the Greece Central School system. It is for reasons as a resident, teacher, and parent that SEL and Equity has become a large focus of her personal and professional life.

Community-Building Circles
I recently took it upon myself to initiate a project in my district to build empathy! During our time together, we will immerse ourselves in community building circles while taking a look at research surrounding community circles work as a Tier 1, proactive, classroom strategy. We will explore the process, from staff training to grow competence and capacity, through implementation.
