Dr. Sarita Menon created the first-of-its-kind international STEM magazine, Smore, to inspire young girls to pursue science and technology. In 3 years the magazine has reached over 100K children in 20 countries worldwide. Dr. Menon describes herself as a scientist by training, an educator by passion, and an entrepreneur on a mission. With a Masters in Biotechnology from IIT-Mumbai and a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from The University of Iowa, Dr. Menon has more than 18 years of combined experience as a researcher, educator, and mentor. Today Dr. Menon finds joy and purpose in building scientific literacy skills in our children especially girls and helping women navigate entrepreneurship successfully. Through speaking engagements, Dr. Menon is keen on sharing her expertise and knowledge to inspire young children, STEM educators, and female entrepreneurs.
