Actions
Sascha joined Neo4j as a software developer in 2017. Previously he studied computer science at TU Dresden and wrote his master thesis about developing graph views on Neo4j. Together with his colleagues in the Cypher team, he worked on implementing and optimizing new features in Neo4j Cypher and security. Since 2021 he has been working on the backend for Neo4j Ops Manager and started in 2024 to introduce similar functionalities into Neo4j's cloud offering, Aura.

Building Neo4j Ops Manager: Lessons From Dogfooding
We've recently released a new product: Neo4j Ops Manager. When building it we decided to use quite a few Neo4j frameworks and projects, like Spring Data Neo4j, Neo4j-Migrations, and the Cypher-DSL. From this experience of using our own tools, we learned quite a bit that we would like to share in this session. Tips and tricks included!
Cypher deep dive: From query string to result
This session aims to provide a general overview of the internal workings of Neo4j Cypher. We will go into detail about the different processing steps, starting from a string representation of a query and ending up at the iterators, that can be used to fetch the results from.
Finding Performance Issues With Neo4j Ops Manager
In this session, Sascha will demonstrate how to use Neo4j Ops Manager to find performance issues in workloads on Neo4j deployments. Using the metric manager, you'll learn to identify moments in which the system is running low on resources. With the use of the log manager, you can then zoom into those timeframes, examine the queries that were running at the time and identify any problematic query.
