This session provides stakeholders with an overview of the Texas Education Agency’s implementation of IDEA fiscal sanctions under 34 C.F.R. §§ 300.604 and 303.704, beginning in the 2027–2028 school year. Participants will gain clarity on progressive enforcement actions tied to LEA determination levels and how these designations trigger specific sanctions, including technical assistance requirements, fund redirection and withholding of IDEA Part B funds.
