Scott Heffield first saw the Agile Manifesto shortly after it was published. Scott had been a software developer for over 10 years at that time, and the ideas put forth in the Manifesto felt very familiar. It was as if someone had been inside his head and had compiled and improved a number of thoughts and conclusions he had about software development. With the opportunity of being a developer on several well-performing agile teams, Scott quickly aligned with the productivity, empowerment, and fun of being part of a team which finds that high performing sweet spot. Because of this personal experience, Scott is now passionate about helping to form and grow high performing teams. Scott is certified as a SAFe Advanced ScrumMaster and regularly consults with teams and companies looking to improve their output. He finds that the principles of performance and culture span far beyond the realm of just software development and enjoys applying them to other areas of life.

In his role as VP of Delivery at Veracity Solutions, Scott leads a team of Veracity Principals and Practice Leads to provide guidance and leadership across Veracity’s consultant teams with the goal of helping our clients truly build “better software every time”.

Scott brings over 30 years of Information Technology skill and experience across various roles, industries, and platforms. Scott has held roles in executive management, business development, and software development at companies such as Veracity Solutions, Tomax/Salesforce, NICE inContact and Echopass/Genesys. Scott participates in local industry groups such as Agile Executives and has served as the Secretary of the Utah chapter of the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP). He is involved in leadership, music, and teaching at his local church. Scott lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with his wife of 30 years.
