Shane represents and supports the OIN 2.0 patent non-aggression community at Open Invention Network. Previously, as OpenChain General Manager, he led the development of ISO/IEC 5230 and 18974 standards, as well as SBOM and AI compliance guidance. A legal community pioneer, Shane founded the European Legal Network, co-founded the Open Source Law Review, and previously helped scale the OIN 1.0 patent non-aggression ecosystem. He also serves on the general assembly of OpenForum Europe.
