Beyond journalism, Sean consults with organizations to help them harness AI for strategic innovation—developing solutions grounded in product thinking, user-centered design, and engaged journalism. His work includes building civic tech tools powered by AI to strengthen public access to information and support democratic participation. He also serves as a guest lecturer at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Bulawayo, where he shares his knowledge with undergraduate journalism students. His lectures focus on AI-assisted journalism, including claim identification, verification processes, and the ethical use of AI in newsrooms. Through this role, he contributes to shaping the next generation of African journalists ready to navigate the future of news and technology.
