Selvam Rajendran is a Senior Principal Engineer with over 25 years of experience leading the architecture, design, and certification of safety-critical aerospace, industrial, telecommunications, and embedded systems. Currently at Collins Aerospace (RTX), Selvam has led EMC architecture, EMI mitigation, lightning and HIRF protection, and certification strategies that have directly enabled airworthiness approvals and flight safety across multiple global aircraft platforms, maintaining a flawless record of zero EMC qualification failures. His work integrates noise-spectrum analysis, EMI filter design, grounding and shielding architectures, PCB-level EMC rules, and aircraft harness integration in compliance with RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-461 standards. Before Collins Aerospace, he served in senior technical leadership roles at L&T Technology Services and RealTime Systems, acting as a customer-facing EMC authority and hardware architect for aerospace, industrial automation, and national railway communication systems. Earlier in his career, he contributed to one of the world’s earliest mobile payment hardware platforms, demonstrating long-standing innovation in embedded and mixed-signal design. Selvam has been recognized as an RTX High Potential (HiPo) Talent and has received multiple corporate awards for technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability. He also serves as EMC Chair for the IEEE Rock River Valley Section, contributing to professional leadership and advancing industry knowledge in electromagnetic compatibility.
