Shailyn Ortiz is a Staff DevSecOps and Platform Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in technology and multiple years working across DevOps, SRE, security, and platform engineering. He has worked with security, DevEx, compliance, and engineering teams, helping them build platforms, automation, and workflows that make it easier to deliver production-ready code.

In his day-to-day work, he uses technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, and Go. He also works with tools such as Amazon Bedrock to build internal AI agents to support security tasks and threat hunting, incident analysis, and automation across SecOps and Platform Engineering.

Shailyn is not a rocket scientist. He is simply an engineer who enjoys solving real problems, automating things, and sharing some of the tricks he has learned along the way. He is especially passionate about leaving things better than he found them, and about how they can make DevOps, security, and AI work inside an enterprise a little simpler yet more effective.
