Shantell is a diversity marketer in the technology industry, affectionately referred to as the Lady with Connections. She began her career marketing products, but now those skills are integrated into the work she does with employees. Along the way, what she thought were the skills needed to help her target an audience, evolved into characteristics that make it possible to connect the dots and people. Connection is what we all want to feel because it validates our experience. Today, she gets to help build the culture for employees at Amazon Web Services but has garnered experience with other Global Fortune 500 technology companies along the way, among them were IBM, Avalara, Cisco and Lenovo.

More than anything, she’s a connector, who uses that natural talent to connect the dots and people. Thus far, she’s stood on the stages of major conferences, like iBTechCon2019, Young Women in STEM, Cisco, Deluxe, BITCON, RentPath and the City of Fayetteville, as their Keynote Speaker. But being recognized as a "45 Under 45" Alumni at her beloved alma mater, Saint Augustine's University, in Raleigh, NC, an HBCU (Historically Black College & University) still ranks as a defining moment on life's stage.

She is driven by new opportunities to share, finding ways to use “Tech for Good” and, like most mothers, by nightfall, she’s trying to figure out what's for dinner!
