After earning her bachelor’s degree from DeVry University in 2007, Sheila started as a master scheduler for Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she guided installers to complete her first project three months ahead of schedule.
The following year, Sheila began consulting to optimize project management practices. Her expertise with Microsoft Project Server helped her acquire and serve clients such as Alcatel-Lucent, Tetra-Tech, Hi-Shear, and the Naval Base Ventura County.
In 2009, Sheila landed an opportunity with McStarlite as the program manager for the Airbus A350 XWB Engine Inlet. She traveled extensively to Toulouse, France, to explore testing, solve process gaps, and improve delivery times. Sheila secured the International Airbus Standard (GRAMS) certification by program completion, deployed Lean Six Sigma process improvements on the manufacturing floor, and received awards recognizing her leadership and performance. At the same time, Sheila attended Keller Graduate School of Management and graduated in 2011 with a Master’s in Business Administration.
Sheila was picked up by Cognizant in 2012 and assigned to rescue high-risk projects for Target, Aetna, Kaiser Permanente, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and Williams and Sonoma. As a result, she restored functions in client PMOs and reduced over $2M in operational waste.
In 2014, Sheila was hospitalized with a rare form of cancer but beat it back after a year-long fight. Once recovered, she returned to managing projects, coordinating training, resolving project management challenges, and deploying Power BI for clients including Xerox, the Port of San Diego, and San Francisco’s Muni Railway. She moved her consulting practice to Las Vegas, where she gained a reputation in the hospitality industry for carrying out complex projects with MGM Resorts International, Wynn Resorts, Boyd Gaming, and Caesars Entertainment.
Sheila met Jason Price at Core BTS in 2019 and joined the Microsoft change management and organizational effectiveness team as a senior consultant. She facilitated dozens of Customer Immersion Experiences for two years, deployed change management programs across 20 projects, and trained over 50,000 employees. Sheila consistently received the company’s top customer satisfaction ratings and raving comments from end-users about her inspiring delivery during her tenure.
In 2020, Sheila was accepted by Capella University to pursue her doctoral degree in business management with a concentration in strategy and innovation. She expects to graduate in 2024 with a thesis on the dehumanization of the global economic workforce.
Sheila left Core BTS in early 2021 to found Seer Strategic Solutions, LLC and build a Microsoft adoption consulting practice in a partner-to-partner model. Her work focuses on developing partnerships, sales, and system architecture for the firm.
Sheila lives in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada, where she enjoys playing in billiard tournaments and detailing sportscars.
