BOSS: Reinforcement loop at Kernel level

Business Operating System and Simulation: Building Autonomous Organizations with AI

Organizations today operate through thousands of workflows, decisions, approvals, and human interactions spread across fragmented software systems. While AI agents are becoming more capable, most enterprises still deploy them as isolated copilots rather than as participants in a coherent operational system.

This talk introduces BOSS (Business Operating System and Simulation), a platform designed to model, simulate, and operate complex organizations using AI-native primitives. BOSS combines a graph-based representation of enterprise knowledge, reinforcement learning feedback loops, and agent-native execution environments to create a continuously improving operating layer for both humans and AI agents.

At its core, BOSS provides a simulation environment where organizations can model workflows, decisions, resources, policies, and outcomes before deploying changes into production. Every action performed by humans or agents is observable, traceable, and incorporated into learning loops that improve future execution.

The platform is built around four abstraction layers:

- LightHouse – interoperability and knowledge integration into a unified GraphDB
- Orchestrator – dynamically selects, composes, and optimizes workflows
- Workflows – self-healing DAGs that coordinate complex organizational processes
- TaskResolvers – deterministic or agentic execution units responsible for specific outcomes

Attendees will see how Business Operating System and Simulation enables organizations to move from static workflows to adaptive systems capable of reasoning, learning, simulation, and autonomous execution.

Real-world examples include autonomous oncology operations, no-touch prior authorization workflows, medical reasoning systems, clinical trial matching, and reinforcement-learning environments for scientific discovery, including DNA origami nanobot design.

The session will explore how simulation-first organizations can continuously optimize operations, reduce execution costs, improve decision quality, and create an auditable path toward enterprise autonomy.
