Sofia Oliveira, PhD, is a post-doc fellowship (BIPD/EWRI/03/2023) at BRU-ISCTE investigating working relationships' impact on employees' health. Her MSc and PhD research focused on mitigating teacher burnout and promoting their occupational health, well-being, and self-care practices through SEL. Her research also emphasizes the importance of addressing workplace conditions and fostering a positive work culture to promote employee well-being, satisfaction, and work performance. To do so, Sofia Oliveira has designed, implemented, and evaluated an online SEL intervention targeting Portuguese teachers that accounted for the impact of social/contextual variables at every stage of its conception. She has also developed two meta-analyses assessing the effects of SEL interventions for teachers. All in all, her work is framed by 2 key statements: the need to prioritize adults' SEC; and the pivotal role of the context and of school leaders in enabling the promotion and expression of SEC.
