Srikanth Uddanti is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing distributed, scalable, and low-latency NoSQL database environments. Over more than 20 years, he has built a career distinguished by strategic planning, architecture leadership, and successful execution of complex database solutions across industries, including trading, telecom, healthcare, and auto insurance.
Since 2018, Srikanth has been serving as a Senior Manager of Software Development & Engineering at Charles Schwab in Austin, Texas. In this role, he leads the development and deployment of highly distributed Aerospike and MongoDB database environments, supporting mission-critical financial applications. His contributions include architecting multi-zonal and multi-region clusters, implementing robust data governance strategies, and introducing automation practices such as Ansible for efficient database maintenance. Srikanth plays a pivotal role in performance tuning, secure authentication, capacity planning, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
Before joining Schwab, he worked at Unify Solutions Inc. (Tracfone) as a Senior Tech Lead from 2015 to 2018, where he led database migration initiatives and designed performance-optimized Aerospike and MongoDB models for critical systems. From 2010 to 2015, Srikanth was a Project Lead at Tata Consultancy Services, where he contributed to Moody’s Investors Service projects by leading data modeling efforts, implementing ETL pipelines with IBM DataStage, and developing performance-tuned reporting systems. Earlier in his career, he held key roles at Computer Sciences Corporation and Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he focused on the development of ETL solutions, database schema design, performance optimization, and supporting large-scale data integration for clients like Zurich Farmers Insurance and United Health Group.
Srikanth holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University in India. He is certified as a MongoDB Developer and Database Administrator, an IBM DB2 Professional, and a Scrum Master. His technical toolkit includes a strong command of Aerospike, MongoDB, IBM DB2, SQL Server, as well as programming in Python, Unix Shell scripting, SQL-PL, and C/C++. He has worked extensively with ETL and data modeling tools such as IBM DataStage, Pentaho, ER/Studio, and Erwin, and utilizes technologies like OpsManager, Rapid SQL, and Splunk in his day-to-day operations.
