I'm living in The Netherlands in a little town called Geerdijk, in the east.
I like to travel, run (athletics) and play around with new technology. I'm also blogging about Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Intune, Automation, and monitoring at rozemuller.com
When I am not in tech I try to brew my own beer, like to BBQ and gardening.

Elevating Intune Oversight: Transforming Intune Management with IntuneCLI and IntuneAssistant

Tackling the complexities of Intune requires more than just surface-level management, it demands a deep dive into the very fabric of the platform, where every operational task carries the weight of precision and time. This is where the brilliance of community innovation shines brightest, through the development of IntuneCLI and IntuneAssistant. Crafted by the insightful minds of Sander Rozemullier and Kenneth van Surksum, this session unveils a revolutionary approach to Intune management.
Discover how these tools act as a critical aggregation layer, providing a panoramic view of your Intune environment that simplifies operations, enhances security, and streamlines management practices.
By delving into the specifics of how to leverage this aggregated insight, attendees will learn not just to manage, but to master the Intune platform, ensuring a level of oversight that transforms day-to-day tasks into opportunities for efficiency and optimization.

Join us to unlock a new dimension of Intune management, where the complexities of today become the streamlined successes of tomorrow. This session is your key to unlocking the full potential of Intune, saving not just hours, but paving the way for a future where Intune management is not just efficient, but insightful.

Autotune Adventures in Intuneville - Targetting Intune Perfection

Modern workplaces are evolving rapidly, with employees using a variety of devices and endpoints to access critical business data.
Managing and securing these endpoints is now a top priority for IT departments. Whether you provide default hardware or allow employees to bring their own devices (BYOD), the need for effective endpoint management and security remains constant.

Microsoft Intune has emerged as a powerful platform for addressing these challenges. The platform delivers options to create policies for devices, apps Windows Updates, and more.
Those policies helping you keeping the endpoints compliant. But, endpoints changing all the time where the Intune platform does not.

In this session we take a look at making Intune smarter with the use of automation routines. We take a look at scenario’s that are often forgotten or need manual steps you don’t want to think of.

Let the system work for you!

Zero Trust Emergency Access: A Multi-Layered, Passwordless Solution

As you know, Microsoft recommends to use break glass accounts and exclude them from your security configuration. These break glass accounts can be used in case of emergency, for example when there are issues with Microsoft Entra Id Conditional Access. In most cases these break glass accounts are protected by complex passwords only, making them vulnerable for attack.

In this session, I will discuss and demonstrate a more secure alternative to using break glass accounts as we know them today. This alternative uses a multi layered authentication flow without the need for MFA.

I will show the solutions architecture, and how all components are connected and automated using Graph API. Next I will demonstrate how to login using a certificate allowing you to modify permissions needed to change your CA policies.

At the end of the session, we have created a multi-layered password less emergency account using a Zero Trust philosophy.

Log Analytics Unleashed: Taming the Wild Data with Azure Magic

We all have seen information in the Microsoft 365 and Azure portal that we like to monitor on. Unfortunately not all what you see is in the log or available for monitoring.
In this session, I show how to build a monitor environment based on the elusive data.

I show how to get data from the Graph API using Azure Functions. I will show how to authenticate. Next, I show how to create a data endpoint and a data routing rule to store the custom data in Log Analytics.
Based on that data I create a monitor rule and use the Azure Monitor for the alert part.

At last, I show a way how to implement all needs that fits the Zero Trust philosophy. In that part, I show how to use Azure Functions in a Azure private network and how to deny public data ingestion using a Private Link Monitor Scope and private endpoints.
