Actions
As a strategic designer, I inspire people to create more meaning.
In the companies where I create, I build knowledge and teams.
I commit them to human-centricity.
Which means that they solve real persons' problems through scientific methods.
For 15 years, I have been focussing on accessibility and inclusion.
Two subcategories of sustainability.
❌ The following two quotes describe my generation's problem to solve.
❌ "Form-follows function is the excuse for shitty design!" quote of my mentor Hartmut Esslinger
❌ "Lipstick on a pig - Underneath it's still a pig!"
My recipe:
✅ "It must not be pretty. It has to neurologically and emotionally work!"
What I do next to building up human centred design knowledge and teams:
👉 Currently I am writing my book on accessibility as a revenue accellerator. The title is "How many F-UX do I give"
👉 I have been building open source a11y games to solve life's serious issues with ease...
👉 With my own company I focus on a11y. We make product and service companies fit for the European Accessibility Act.

Accessibility First
“Done, except for accessibility” is the new “works on my box, ship it” - Jessica Kerr
Did you know that 1 in 6 individuals deal with some form of physical disability? The inability of many applications to cater to a broader user base poses a dual challenge, not only hindering inclusivity but also excluding potential paying customers. As developers, our assumptions about accessibility often lead to exclusions, and our actions end up speaking against our potential empathy. Unfortunately, many assistive tools designed to aid disabled individuals ironically have a significant learning curve, therefore turning out to be inaccessible to most!
In this workshop, we'll take a step toward inclusion and equality by understanding accessibility challenges, empathizing with users with disabilities through immersive exercises and solving these challenges through current solutions so developers can build accessible products.
Deep-diving into design aspects, we will explore guiding principles, essential tools like those found at Cactus Libraries, and design best practices that pave the way for a more inclusive digital environment. We also discuss development best practices, tools, and testing tools that serve as vital instruments in crafting a user experience that caters to all.
