Stijn Stevens (b. 1980) studied mechanical engineering (spec. Aerospace engineering) and obtained a PhD degree in electrical engineering in 2009. He was active in several automotive projects until 2010, when he joined SMA, world's largest photovoltaic inverter manufacturer. In 2013, he was appointed to lead
the software development of the new industrial battery system branch. By 2014, he was promoted to system architect and lead the overall development of the industrial battery systems. In 2017, he joined skytron energy as CTO, reforming development and introducing model based development and automated code generation. After a short stop at aggreko, he joined Meteocontrol GmbH as CTO, returning to the monitoring scene in a front runner company.
