In IT since the days of IE6 — he started with computer graphics, then pursued every IT person's dream of creating a game (definitely does not recommend it). After that, he began designing large distributed systems (but not microservices) that grind through hundreds of gigabytes and somehow don't crash and burn in production. That's why he knows how important it is to measure everything and let the numbers guide you.

He's worked through every role the industry has to offer — from developer to architect to Engineering Director, podcaster and owner. He's led teams of 45 people, designed international ERP systems, built SaaS platforms on Kubernetes, and stood up R&D teams from scratch. And after hours, various startups around cooking and sports.

Day to day, he focuses on spreading healthy scepticism toward marketing hype. He helps companies connect processes with technology to actually deliver real value.

Neo4j Ambassador, author of Pluralsight courses. He used to blog at IndexOutOfRange.com. He trains clients from banks, insurance companies, and fintechs — as well as his own kids, though it's harder to explain to the latter why Kubernetes won't help.
