Tamara Spir is a Senior UX Researcher at Mews, a hospitality technology company, where she leads research for the Front of House product and works at the intersection of human behavior and emerging technology. Her recent work focuses on AI trust, running field research with hotel guests and staff to understand where automation helps, and where it quietly loses people.
Her fieldwork spans Europe and North America, where she's studied how cultural context shapes users' expectations of technology, and how that should inform product prioritization.
She also teaches UX Design at IED Barcelona, bringing real workplace research directly into the classroom. With 10 years of experience across fintech and hospitality tech, and a background that includes community research in Colombia's Pacific Coast, she brings an anthropological lens to product work that most researchers leave at the door.
She's based in Barcelona, practices Muay Thai, and believes the best research happens when you go where the users actually are.
