Tanu Sinha is a Design Leader on a mission to leverage Design and Design Thinking as an agent of change for the brands, businesses, consumers and the communities she serves.
At PepsiCo India, she drives transformative brand experiences through the lens of design, culture, technology and innovation. With a career spanning over 2 decades, Tanu brings a unique fusion of strategic foresight and creative rigor, consistently pushing the boundaries of how brands connect with consumers in a fast-evolving Indian and global landscape. In her current role, she leads breakthrough initiatives across beverage and snack categories, integrating design thinking into core business strategy. Her work not only enhances consumer engagement but also shapes PepsiCo’s narrative around sustainability, youth culture, and inclusivity. While her primary responsibility is towards India and South Asia, she has led and supported various design programs across Middle east, Egypt, Saudi and Sub-Saharan Africa.
A strong advocate for cross-functional collaboration, Tanu works closely with global teams, agency partners, and local stakeholders to bring bold ideas to life. Her work reflects a deep understanding of South Asian consumer behaviour, while also tapping into global design and innovation frameworks.
Beyond her corporate role, Tanu is deeply engaged in the broader creative and business ecosystem:
• Jury Member for prestigious national and international design and creative awards including Kyoorius Design Awards, Spikes Asia - Cannes Lions Group, Transform Asia Awards, Young Guns (The One Club for creativity), Afaqs marketing excellence, where she evaluates work at the intersection of design, innovation, storytelling, marketing and human impact.
• TEDx, Podcast & Speaker Guest on leading platforms where she shares insights on FMCG innovation, women in leadership, inclusivity and the future of design in emerging markets.
• Board Advisor and thought leader to creative institutions focused on design, innovation, consumer insights and innovation. She currently serves on the advisory boards of ISDI School of Design and Innovation contributing to curriculum development and mentorship.
Prior to joining PepsiCo, Tanu served as the Design Director at Nestle Design Lab and acted as creative partner for 50+ brands in Nestle India portfolio. Over the years she has partnered with clients like Britannia, Heinz, The Coca Cola Company, Godfrey Philips India, Hector Beverages, Uttarakhand Government, Satya Paul, Mars Chocolate, Carlsberg Group, World Health Organization, Fox Channels and Volkswagen that made her journey an enriching experience.
At the heart of Tanu’s work is a passion for building meaningful experiences whether it’s reimagining how a legacy brand shows up in modern India or co-creating the future with young audiences.
When not strategising the next big brand and design moment, Tanu enjoys being a mom, exploring contemporary art, curating cultural travel experiences, and contributing to initiatives that empower young professionals in business and design.
