Combining Gateway API, MCS API and NetworkPolicy API for a secure multicluster ingress solution.

Gateway API, Kubernetes Multicluster Services(MCS) API, and NetworkPolicy API stand as the cornerstones of Kubernetes networking, each playing a pivotal role in shaping the way we manage and secure traffic within and across clusters.

Gateway API simplifies ingress configuration in Kubernetes, offering a unified approach for routing and load balancing.

Kubernetes MCS API provides a service-discovery mechanism in multiple-cluster environments.

NetworkPolicy API helps to safeguard your applications with policies that allow or deny communication between pods and services based on defined criteria.

In this talk, we will delve deep into the technical intricacies of harnessing these APIs using the Envoy Gateway and the Submariner project, showcasing real-world use cases that transcend the theoretical into the practical. Discover how to build a rock-solid, secure multi-tier ingress solution that scales effortlessly and ensures the seamless, secure flow of traffic across your clusters.

Unlocking the Power of Envoy as a Federated GraphQL Gateway

In this session, we'll dive into the fascinating world of Envoy Proxy's WASM extension capability. You see, GraphQL is a widely embraced method for bringing together data from lots of different microservices to serve up to your applications. Typically, this happens after the request passes through API gateways, such as Envoy.

But here's where things get intriguing: thanks to Envoy's WASM extension filter, we can actually embed GraphQL right within the Envoy-based gateway itself. What does this mean for you? It means you can simplify your setup by eliminating the need for an extra layer of infrastructure maintenance. In essence, it's like streamlining your system for greater efficiency. In this talk we shall delve deep into envoy's WASM extension nuances with practical implementation using GraphQl Federation setup.
