Tarangkumar Malani is a seasoned software engineering professional with over a decade of experience designing and delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade applications across financial services, healthcare, telecom, and e-commerce domains. He currently serves as Vice President and Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he leads the design, development, modernisation, and ongoing support of high-impact internal enterprise platforms focused on knowledge discovery, workflow automation, and platform modernisation.
In his current role, Tarangkumar is responsible for building full-stack solutions using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, React, Python, REST APIs, and SQL. He has played a key role in implementing artificial intelligence-enabled search and conversational capabilities by integrating governed enterprise data sources and modern data-platform patterns to improve information discovery and decision support. He also drives reliability and performance improvements through site reliability engineering practices, including observability enhancements, monitoring, incident response, and system optimization across both on-premises and cloud-connected environments.
Before JPMorgan Chase, Tarangkumar held engineering leadership roles at Mphasis, where he led the development of microservices-based financial platforms and contributed to architecture, performance optimization, and production stability in Agile environments. He also worked at The Fidelis Group, delivering full software development lifecycle support for financial applications, and at eClinicalWorks, where he contributed to the development and modernization of a large cloud-based healthcare platform. Earlier in his career, he developed telecom billing and broadband solutions at Sterlite Technologies. He built Java-based enterprise applications at SoftVan, gaining strong foundational experience in full-stack development and system integration.
