Build Trust with Your Users Through UX
In just one-tenth of a second, your front-end makes its first impression—a crucial moment that can either build or break trust with users.
As developers, your role is crucial in building interfaces that not only work well but instill confidence in users. Join me in this talk to explore key User Experience (UX) strategies that developers can use to build interfaces and features that are reliable, safe, and transparent.
Through a case study, we will examine multiple practical examples, showcasing the do’s and don'ts of interface design, what earns user trust, and what pitfalls to avoid. We will walk though key focus points of trust in UX, including heuristics, visual and functional consistency across interfaces, accessibility, borrowing trust from others, and humanizing your design.
You will also discover the challenges and ethical considerations involved in building trust through user interfaces, including how to deal with deceptive practices known as dark patterns.
Generative AI for Engaging User Storyboards
Storyboards are the best way to illustrate the user journey and highlight pain points. Creating detailed and well-crafted storyboards, however, can be time-consuming and challenging when inspiration doesn't come quickly. AI image generators offer a solution by creating unique and engaging visuals for storyboards based on short, simple text prompts.
Join me in this talk to learn how to use Adobe Firefly, a generative AI tool, to create storyboards that effectively tell a story, spark emotions, and communicate a clear message to your team and stakeholders. Through a case study focused on designing storyboards for a collaboration tool for architects and engineers, you will discover how to write effective text prompts, develop engaging characters and scenarios using AI, and maintain consistent visuals.
You will also discover some challenges and biases associated with AI image generators and how to navigate and overcome them.
