I'm a software engineer, consultant and .NET enthusiast who loves building great software, working with people, sharing knowledge and exploring theme parks. With a BSc in Computer Science and a fascination for the world of software engineering since I was a child, I've been fortunate enough to turn my hobby into my career. Today, I work as a software engineering consultant, primarily within the .NET ecosystem, with technologies such as ASP.NET Core, Blazor, Aspire and Azure.
To me, great software engineering goes beyond writing code. It's also about good communication, teamwork, constantly improving how we work and helping others grow. Whether it's solving a complex technical challenge, improving developer experience or sharing knowledge with others, I enjoy exploring both the technical and human sides of software engineering.
As a lifelong learner, I'm a regular attendee of conferences and community events around the country, including Dotnet Friday and .NET Zuid. I've also shared my own experiences through talks at internal and external events, presenting to audiences of up to 65 people. I'm always looking for opportunities to learn from and contribute to the developer community.
And when I'm not writing code or attending tech events, there's a good chance you'll find me exploring a theme park or riding a roller coaster!

Everyone Looks Like A Genius Now. So Why Don't You?
You open LinkedIn and scroll through your feed. One non-technical person proudly announces that "SaaS is dead! I just replaced Notion in one weekend". Another has built an army of AI agents that implements their entire backlog while they're enjoying a coffee.
But you? You've been stuck on the same bug for the last two hours. You're frustrated, questioning your life choices and thinking to yourself: "Am I even cut out for this job?"
Sound familiar?
Imposter syndrome is nothing new in the world of software engineering. But with AI evolving faster than new JavaScript frameworks being released, it's becoming easier than ever to compare our everyday struggles with everyone else's seemingly amazing achievements. And when AI can suddenly do things that we've spent years learning, where does that leave our confidence in our own skills?
In this session, we'll explore the psychology behind imposter syndrome, why we compare ourselves to others and how AI might be changing the way we see our own competence. We'll look at why we sometimes struggle to take credit for our own accomplishments, how self-doubt can make us play smaller than we should and whether using AI makes our achievements less valuable.
But we're not spending 50 minutes feeding our inner critic. We'll explore practical ways to challenge those thoughts, recognize our own progress and (ironically) use AI as a learning partner instead of another reason to doubt ourselves.
AI is already changing what it means to be a developer. Let's not let it decide how much we're worth as one.
