OpenFeature Update From the Maintainers

OpenFeature is an open specification that provides a vendor-agnostic, community-driven API for feature flagging that works with your favorite feature flag management tool or in-house solution.

Come along to hear all the news about OpenFeature (including: code generation, support of tracking events, OTEL semantic conventions, distributed flag evaluation) and the projects future plans.

We also wants to open the floor to all the questions about the current state and future of OpenFeature.

OpenFeature Contribfest

OpenFeature is an open specification that provides a vendor-agnostic, community-driven API for feature flagging that works with your favorite feature flag management tool or in-house solution.

The OpenFeature ecosystem comprises 8 SDKs (Java, Node.js, .NET, Go, Python, PHP, web, Android) and more than 44 integrations. Example integrations include exporting OTel-compliant feature flag telemetry, SDKs for popular frameworks (React/Spring/etc) and providers to connect to various feature flag management systems. OpenFeature also maintains a cloud-native reference implementation (flagd) which maintains feature flags as K8s custom resources.

Contribfest is an opportunity for contributors to help any way they'd like: implement an integration with a pet-project, create a provider that uses another CNCF service as a flag-management backend, implement a missing feature in an SDK or flagd, create a SDK for your favorite framework, or add an SBOM to one to one of the existing artifacts.
