Getting started with Azure data services: from zero to hero
In this session, we will discuss the most important Azure data services that you must know today when building a cloud scale analytics architecture. Having studied those services in the first half of the year and coming from a non-data background, I missed "the bigger picture" and that's the picture that I want to provide to you. When joining this session, you "only" need to have a basic understanding of Azure and we will build on that. This session is for everyone interested in Azure, Cloud (native) development, data engineering, data science and data analysis (and of course for (Cloud solution) Architects who will bring it all together :))
Data Mesh in Azure
For years and years, organizations have been operating on a model where data was put in silos and where this data was consequently never shared with other entities in the organization. And if it was ultimately shared, it took ages for it to become available to whoever needed it. What if we told you that there is a better way which comes with the name "Data Mesh". It proposes a complete new (and fresh) approach and it changes how organizations let their data work (for them).
In this session we will discuss Data Mesh (why do you need it, what does it solve, how does it work,…) and we will show you how you can (help) change your organization and evolve towards this new way of working. We will also make it practical and use the Cloud-scale Analytics framework to achieve all of the above in Azure.
Building your own Copilots with generative AI and the Semantic Kernel Framework
it has been over a year since OpenAI released ChatGPT to the world. In those 12 months, a lot has happened, and it would take us a lot more than an hour to cover it all... OpenAI and Microsoft have a strong partnership where Microsoft can leverage the OpenAI models to offer them in a lot of services and products. One of those is the Azure OpenAI service, which gives you the means to easily add generative AI to your solutions. Microsoft has been building copilots on top (and in) a lot of products and services that you know and use today.
In this session, I'm going to cover how you can leverage the same framework that Microsoft is using (Semantic Kernel) to build your own copilots AND how you can start extending your Copilots (and the ones of Microsoft) with publicly available and your own plugins. I truly believe that this is going to change how we build software and how end users are going to interact with it!
Azure OpenAI - What's in it for you
In this session I'll talk about topics such as the recent evolutions in LLMs, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Responsible AI, prompt engineering, fine tuning, where to get started, ...
To make it really interesting, I'll then show some demos/playgrounds that you can set up yourself with (almost) no effort and I'll discuss the architectures that are behind those solutions.
This session can also be delivered in a 4h workshop and this can be delivered in a very interactive manner
