Timothy Quinn is an operations and technology leader with 25 years of hands-on experience building software companies and leveraging skills in technical product design, real-world data architecture, process reengineering and data security.

Tim is the founder of The Dark Data Project (darkdataproject.org), where he helps organizations uncover, deobfuscate, semantify and analyze problematic datasets, as well as an advisor for organizations such as the United Nations (ohchr.org), the International Development Research Centre (idrc.ca), the Canadian Executive Service Organization (ceso-saco.com). the Biological Survey of Canada (biologicalsurvey.ca), the Rural Development Network (ruraldevelopment.ca), the IAU’s Office of Astronomy for Development (astro4dev.org), the Tanzania Horticultural Association (taha.or.tz) and Kenya’s Lewa Wildlife Conservancy (lewa.org), among others.

Tim has taught at New York University and the City University of New York, and has presented at conferences in Toronto, Vancouver, New York, San Francisco, London and Geneva.
