Tony Guan is currently leading LinkedIn Java team. Tony is an Ex-Uber, Ex-Salesforce and Ex-Azul. He worked with Azul Systems for 5 years, specializing GC, compiler and solving challenging runtime problems. He is passionate about Java performance for production.
Currently his focus is to build a great team that can scale up the Java expertise at Linkedin. He is also leading the effort to cultivate a Java community within LinkedIn. Outside of work, he practices and teaches martial arts and loves reading and hiking.

Introduction of the new Java Tooling Suite at Linkedin: JSuite.
JSuite includes three web based components for #LinkedIn #engineering teams:
JTuner - enables engineers to easily experiment with JVM options (as well as different java versions) on production hosts;
JDoctor - analyzes the GC metrics and tells whether the service is running in good health or not, with performance improvement suggestions provided for the unhealthy ones;
JAnalyzer - a productization of JClarity's popular GC log analyzer Censum, it provides the functionalities of on demand GC downloading from production hosts, as well the detailed GC log analysis.
