Tony Iovino is currently a Fellow with the EveryLibrary Institute. He was the Assistant Director for the Oceanside Library from 2015 to 2025. Prior to that, he was the head of litigation and managing partner for a law firm he started in 1986. Tony received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond, his JD from St. John's University School of Law, and his MLIS from the University of Kentucky.
In his role at Oceanside, Tony transformed the Library by dramatically increasing its outreach into the community, increasing program attendance 81% without a single extra dollar, markedly increasing circulation, and ultimately shepherding a $40 million renovation of the Library facility.
Tony is a published author and poet. He served on the Oceanside School District Board of Education and has served as a director and attorney for dozens of non-profit and public boards. He has helped over a dozen libraries and systems on a pro bono basis and has spoken nationally and regionally on library topics.
