Tyler leads the Applied AI Engineering team at Redis; working hands-on with customers, community and partners on real-time ML/AI workloads. He maintains RedisVL, the AI-native Python client for Redis and his team spearheads ecosystem integrations and applied AI research internally. Previously, Tyler led MLE's at a series of early-stage ecommerce startups building neural search & recommendation systems. In this session, learn how to improve cost, speed, and scalability of RAG systems with semantic caching and short+long term memory patterns. In this session, we will review the basics of semantic caching, some early academic research, and how to improve cache hit accuracy using fine tuned models. We will also briefly explore novel long term memory patterns for agentic workflows.
