Dr. De Angelis joined Sandia National Labs in 2020. He is a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff and Manager of the Power Electronics group. His team develops open-source energy storage systems. Before Sandia, he was Director of the City University of New York Energy Institute and co-founder of Urban Electric Power, which commercializes the batteries invented at CUNY. Before then, he founded Mindflash – a leading provider of online training platforms acquired by Applied Training Systems.
