Vamsi Munnangi is a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, where he leads the development of the Walmart Cloud Native Platform (WCNP) batch job management system, a Kubernetes based solution enabling developers to orchestrate and manage containerized workloads across edge locations and multi cloud environments including Azure and Google Cloud.
Prior to Walmart, Vamsi spent over seven years at Apple, where he architected mission critical systems serving customers globally. He led the backend infrastructure powering AppleCare applications, a system serving as the source of truth for every Apple product and part ever designed, supporting AppleCare's consumer base across the Americas, Asia Pacific, and EMEA regions. He also spearheaded the development of Apple's next generation payment gateway platform, a microservices based system integrating with major acquirers including American Express, Chase, WorldPay, and CyberSource.
Vamsi's expertise spans cloud native technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Istio, with deep experience in designing fault tolerant microservices architectures, multi cluster deployments with disaster recovery strategies, and PCI compliant infrastructure. He is a published researcher in digital image processing and holds an Elastic GenAI Associate Certification. He earned his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Central Missouri and his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Koneru Lakshmaiah University, India.
