Vedant Naik is a Director, Principal Software Engineer at BlackRock Financial Management, based in New York. With over a decade of experience in software development within the investment research and finance domain, he specializes in application development, backend infrastructure, and AI integration.

Holding both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science, Vedant brings a deep technical foundation to his work, leading cross-functional engineering teams and driving innovation at scale. Among his recent accomplishments are architecting the backend and search infrastructure for a flagship development platform, and building a AladdinSDK, a python SDK layer that significantly enhanced the productivity of quantitative research teams.

Beyond his day-to-day work, Vedant actively contributes to developer communities and has led technical presentations and client-facing demos. He’s passionate about creating systems that are not only powerful but also elegant and maintainable.

When he’s not immersed in code, Vedant enjoys diving into movies, exploring automotive trends, and gaming. He also challenges himself yearly to step outside his comfort zone—most recently by training for and completing a half-marathon.
