Viasha Morgan is a Computer Science student at the University of the Witwatersrand and Data Analytics Intern at PAKO, where she contributes data-driven insights to support decision-making and product development in an education-focused environment.
She has experience in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and applied machine learning through internships, teaching assistant roles, and freelance academic work. Her technical experience spans end-to-end data solutions across areas such as customer behaviour analysis, marketing performance, and business intelligence.
Viasha is a winner of both the IBM Z Datathon 2025 and the DIRISA Datathon 2025 Technical Challenge, where she worked on AI and data-driven solutions addressing pedestrian safety and driver behaviour in South Africa. These projects focused on applying machine learning and geospatial analytics to real-world social challenges.
Her work sits at the intersection of AI, data analytics, and social impact, with a focus on translating data into practical insights that improve systems, products, and community outcomes.
