Vinay Gurram is a seasoned technology leader with over two decades of progressive experience in software engineering and IT. He currently serves as Director of Software Engineering at Radial Inc., where he has played a pivotal role in transforming the company’s Order Management System (OMS) from a monolithic IBM Sterling platform into a microservices-based, event-driven architecture.
At Radial, Vinay has led end-to-end implementations of OMS solutions for major clients across retail, e-commerce, and omnichannel fulfillment sectors. His expertise spans microservices architecture, event-driven systems, MongoDB, Spring Boot, Kafka, and IBM Sterling Multi Channel Fulfillment (MCF). He has successfully designed and built comprehensive order orchestration, inventory, and merchandise management flows, while guiding teams through cloud migrations and performance optimization initiatives.
Before joining Radial, Vinay worked as a Technical Manager at HCL Technologies, providing e-commerce and multichannel commerce solutions as part of the Smarter Commerce Center of Excellence. His work focused on order and inventory management, warehouse management, and process optimization using IBM Sterling technologies.
Earlier in his career, he held key technical roles at Best Buy and Accenture, where he led the design and customization of order management workflows, optimized system performance, and contributed to major modernization initiatives, including transitioning legacy systems to WebSphere Portal-based applications.
Vinay holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from Osmania University, Telangana, India, graduating with First Class with Distinction.
