In more than 17 years of client side development for the web, Westbrook has done everything from CSS Engineer to Application Architect and back again.

Currently, taking part in building a new company from the ground up, he's leveraging skills from all of those roles and more. Some days that means architecting application UI that is both powerful and modular, other days that's building a brand new design system while the plane is already in flight. Along the way he's supporting the development of something new by leaning on something that is often quite old, browser standard APIs. Come ask him about his favorites!

Away from work, Westbrook enjoys preparing meals that can be finished off with a cooking torch, traveling the world with his wife Akemi, and listening to/playing music, he's a trombonist.
