Since 2001, Dr. Eiserman has directed the Early Childhood Hearing Outreach (ECHO) Initiative at the National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management. Along with a small team of colleagues consisting of Pediatric Audiologists and early childhood specialists, Dr. Eiserman has provided training and technical assistance to thousands of early care and education providers across the United States, many of whom work in Early Head Start/Head Start settings, helping them to develop and maintain evidence-based based hearing screening practices. Dr. Eiserman has presented internationally on the importance of periodically monitoring the status of a child's hearing throughout early childhood as a part of an overall commitment to supporting language development, academic achievement, social-emotional development and school readiness.
