Yasunobu Kawaguchi is a renowned figure in the Agile and DevOps communities, with a profound background in software engineering and project management. After completing his studies at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, he embarked on a career that encompassed data maintenance, system development, product and service planning, and virtual infrastructure construction at QUICK Corp.

Kawaguchi's Agile journey began in 2008, leading him to pilot projects that integrated these methodologies. He has been an active member of the Scrum community since 2011, contributing as the Innovation Sprint Executive Committee Chairman and a committee member of Scrum Gathering Tokyo. His tenure at Rakuten Inc. from 2012 to 2018 as an Agile Coach further solidified his expertise in the field.

In addition to his professional roles, Kawaguchi has been a prolific speaker at various national and international conferences, discussing topics such as Agile development, product ownership, and the importance of adaptability in business. His presentations often focus on the evolution of Agile and DevOps practices and their critical role in modern business environments.

Kawaguchi's contributions extend to translations and supervision of notable Agile literature, including "Fearless Change," "User Story Mapping," and "Joy, Inc." He is a Certified Scrum Professional and has co-instructed with several Agile luminaries such as Jim Coplien, Jeff Patton, and Mitch Lacey.

Yasunobu Kawaguchi is currently the President of YesNoBut Corporation and a Senior Agile Coach at Agilerugo Consulting Co., Ltd. His recent works include challenging the norms of technology events and advocating for the benefits of offline and hybrid event formats in the post-pandemic era.
