Zachary Talke is a Senior Product Manager on the Database Tools team at Oracle responsible for free Database tools such as SQL Developer, SQLcl, Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), and the new SQL Developer for VS Code extension. He started his career as a financial analyst in the insurance industry before teaching himself to code with freeCodeCamp and securing his first job at Oracle as a Solution Engineer.

Zach has presented at Oracle Cloud World, hosts online webinars, and has built hands-on workshops on his team's tech you can try over on the Oracle LiveLabs platform. He is the co-host of the Technically Managing career and life podcast and blogs on his website talke.tech.

One of the things he is most grateful for are all the easy to understand, free resources that helped him jumpstart his tech journey. He is making it his mission to make Oracle technologies more accessible for all skill levels and loves creating content to help further this goal.

During his free time he enjoys reading, swinging kettlebells, and seeing comedy shows in Austin, Texas where he lives.
