Zhen serves as a clinical data scientist at CIMS Global. He previously served as data scientist intern at Genentech and contributed to the development of {raw.synthetic.data} package. He graduated from Yale University with a master’s degree in Biostatistics. He has an extensive interest in open-source development including R packages, R Shiny with experience in CDISC format data, providing interactive solutions for clinical study and DMC activities.

Implementation of {teal} Shiny apps in DMC activity
There have been two pilot studies discussing submission to FDA through R Shiny. With such application, an efficient and interactive review can be conducted from regulatory side. While most of the application focuses on using R Shiny apps within organization for internal review of compound, R Shiny such as {teal} can be implemented for DMC activities. Interactive dashboard using R to perform analysis, which can be inclusive to study-specified analysis and endpoint, such as {rtables}, {tern}, and {teal}. Moreover, such approach can provide downloadable/portable files for further reference. In this session, we will discuss feasibility of such application into DMC activity.
