As a senior software engineer at Black Cape, Zuri Hunter brings a unique blend of technical know-how and passion for community building to the table. During her time at the illustrious Howard University, where she earned her bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems, was just the beginning of her journey. She taught herself Ruby on Rails and put her newfound skills to the test at local hackathons and on projects like the US Presidential Innovation Fellows Hack the Pay Gap hackathon.

When she is not building amazing applications, you can find her volunteering as a Technical Lead with Black Girls Code or organizing Howard University’s hackathon Bison Hacks. Her impact in the tech industry was recognized in 2018 when she was nominated as one of DCA Live Power Women in Tech. In her free time, she indulges in her creative side with arts and crafts, performs spins at the ice skating rink or compete in fighting game tournaments across the country.
