In this session, we will walk through the process of building a custom business application using Power Platform. We will start by defining the business problem and identifying different data sources required to solve it. Then, we will use Power Apps to build a custom form for interacting with the data, leveraging its low-code/no-code approach. Next, we will use Power Automate to automate business processes and integrate data between different systems. Finally, we will use Power BI to gain insights into the data. By the end of the session, attendees will have a solid understanding of how to use Power Platform to create custom business applications that streamline their business processes.

The Power Platform Admin Center is a central location for managing and administering Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. This workshop will provide a deep dive into the capabilities of the Power Platform Admin Center and equip attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and optimize their organization's Power Platform environment.

Build a Full Solution for Request Forms and Approvals

In this full day workshop, we will build a full solution for approvals with Power Platform, including a request form, approval process, and lists to store requests and approval logs. This workshop will be demo-heavy, showing the quickest ways to customize and manage requests and approvals using Power
Apps and Power Automate. No prior experience necessary. Access to Power Apps, Power Automate, and a SharePoint Online site are essential, as attendees are encouraged to follow along and build their own solution during the workshop.

In this workshop, we will cover…
1. Set up SharePoint lists – one for requests and one to store approvals
2. Overview of common customizations in Power Apps
3. Customize request form with Power Apps
4. Overview of commonly requested actions for approval process that is convenient for both decision makers and audit review
5. Build automated cloud flow with Power Automate to run convenient approval process for
decision makers and store the resulting decisions.
6. Build scheduled flow with Power Automate to review items eligible for annual approval, request approval on the eligible items and store the resulting decisions.

Automated Planned Maintenance Solution

In this session, we will review how our company uses Events and Power Automate to automatically communicate to impacted groups when maintenance events on various systems are scheduled,
updated, and completed. This session will be more review/overview style, discussing our reasoning for taking the approach we’ve taken in different sections of our solution. We’ll include one quick run-
through demo in the second half. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and brainstorm as we cover what we’ve implemented for our organization.
