The Shifting Landscape of the Dynamics 365 UI/UX: the DynamicsCon Virtual edition!

In Microsoft's 2023 Release Wave 2, the user interface for managing work orders in Dynamics 365 Field Service underwent a significant overhaul that saw, among other changes, the replacement of its eponymous Business Process Flow (BPF) with a new Dynamic Booking Card.

This session takes that starting point to explore how ALL the First Party apps have seen changes over the last year, through the 2024 Wave 1 & Wave 2 Releases, and through a number of standalone announcements from Microsoft.

These reveal how the apps' future direction is going to transform how we and our customers gather, hold and interact with key data.

AI and Autonomous Agents: the new UI Transmogrifying Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM

For more than a year I explored the Shifting Landscape of the Dynamics UI/UX and its transformation since the introduction of the Dynamic Booking Card for Work Orders in Dynamics 365 Field Service. My blogs and speaker sessions journeyed through both the 2024 Wave Releases and other standalone announcements that explored the evolution of the First Party apps' UI and how its future direction is going to transform how Microsoft's Partners and theirs customers gather, hold, and interact with key data.

Now this journey is evolving, moving on from 'mere' modifications to breaking down barriers to Transmogrification: into what to the uninitiated eye seems like a magical change or transformation.

Copilots have changed the landscape of business and productivity apps and made AI the new UX.

Project Sophia is completely changing the way Supervisors, Managers and the C-Suite will engage with insights data to support more effective and optimal sales and service lifecycles.

The newly announced introduction of 10 new autonomous Agents in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to build capacity for sales, service, finance and supply chain teams are designed to help accelerate time to value and configured to scale operational efficiency and elevate customer experiences across roles and functions.

This session will explore what this move from legacy line of business applications to AI-first business processes will look like, using live demo's of the Immersive Copilot Homepage in Dynamics 365 Sales and Project Sophia in Copilot for Sales, with a mix of highlight videos from Microsoft Ignite 2024 and an exploration of the public preview of these autonomous Agents in Dynamics 365 Sales and Service.

The predecessor editions of The Shifting Landscapes of the Dynamics 365 UI/UX to this brand new session was presented seven times during 2024 at both UK and Regional User Groups, Virtual Round Tables, Scottish Summit, DynamicsCon Virtual and the New Zealand Business Applications Summit (Online track) to excellent reviews.

This new journey of blogs and conference sessions will follow the evolution and transmogrification of the legacy line of business applications to AI-first business processes through 2025.
