Alex Ischenko is an AI-native CTO, Agentic AI Builder, and engineering leader with 20+ years of experience building technology products and 15+ years leading engineering organizations.
He is the founder of ExecMatchAI, an AI-native platform for building and developing the next generation of technology leaders. The platform combines AI agents, voice-based interviews, structured leadership assessment, and AI-readiness scoring to help executives understand their strengths, identify development opportunities, and become more effective leaders in AI-native organizations.
Most recently, Alex served as SVP of Engineering at Rebrandly, operating a global SaaS platform at massive scale for 2M+ users. Throughout his career, he has built and transformed engineering organizations of 100+ people across SaaS, Fintech, Insurtech, Healthcare, and high-growth startups.
Alex is also the creator of Startup Factory, an open-source agentic orchestration framework designed to turn specialized AI agents into accountable product delivery teams - combining product management, architecture, engineering, QA, security, and release workflows. In parallel, he works as a Fractional CTO with startups and scale-ups, helping engineering organizations adopt AI-native ways of working, redesign delivery around humans and AI agents, and embed an AI-native culture across teams, processes, and product development.
Today, his focus is on a new generation of organizations: AI-native teams where humans and autonomous AI agents build and operate products together.
As a hands-on AI builder, Alex experiments with zero-human engineering teams, multi-agent systems, GenAI, voice AI, and AI-powered product development.
Alex has been recognized among the CTO Craft Top 100 technology leaders and regularly shares his experience with CTO and engineering communities on AI-native organizations, agentic engineering, engineering leadership, architecture, and the future of software development.
His current mission is simple: rethink how technology companies and technology leaders are built when AI agents become first-class members of the team.

Growing Your Team: Strategies for Expansion or Re-Org in Engineering
During this session we'll go through the scaling challenges for the engineering organisation.
I'll share the insights from my experience working as a VP Engineering (product company, with the size around 200 people), and how we successfully moved from functional to cross-functional teams within two months.
A lot of important questions will come during the transformation.
- How to align the software architecture with the team structure?
- Who will own what, what’s the responsibility area for the team
- What's the best team size
- Where we can find the leaders for each future team
- What are the functions of a tech lead and the engineering manager?
- Escalation and operational process
Happy to share my experience!
