Build Business Applications with HoloLens and Cloud

It becomes interesting when you use HoloLens as part of your business processes inside your organization. It makes it even more interesting when you start combining HoloLens with Cloud. Think of connecting with Bing, Microsoft Graph, Azure Cognitive Services, SharePoint Online and more. How does security work and which different scenarios do we have when connecting to such services. In this session I will give an introduction to HoloLens and what fields of applications we have. I will talk about using technologies like Vuforia which will even give more power to your HoloLens applications. We go deeper into integrating HoloLens with Cloud services and have a look at design considerations. The session is of course supported with live demos with HoloLens.

Create an immersive experience with Office 365 data and Mixed Reality using HoloLens

Think of provisioning information on real-life objects or straw through Cloud data like persons, related contacts, documents and other stuff. This allows you to build rich applications containing information you normally process in a 2D world like your browsers. By extending it to a 3D world, you are able to process the data in a completely different way. Think of creating teams of people within your organization and group them based on specialties, getting a more clear inside view of your site structure in SharePoint or have a 3D model of the Microsoft Graph entities related objects

HoloLens and Cognitive ServicesA powerful combination!

HoloLens as a Mixed Reality device allows you to build applications to support your business processes in different ways by using visualization and information provisioning. It gets more interesting when you expand such applications by using external services like Azure Cognitive Services. This development session explains and shows you how to combine both technologies to create a powerful combination.

HoloAdvanced – Building more advanced Mixed Reality apps for HoloLens

This session goes deeper into developing Mixed Reality apps for HoloLens. We will integrate the HoloLens Toolkit of Microsoft to enhance functionality and take more control over your HoloLens app. Features as World Anchors, Sharing, Spatial Understanding by mapping meshes to planes, stabilization plane and more are discussed. All features are explained, build with Visual Studio and Unity and demonstrated with live demos. After this you will become a more advanced HoloLens developer.

HoloBasics - Develop your Mixed Reality HoloLens App with Unity and Visual Studio

This session takes you along a journey implementing a Mixed Reality app for HoloLens by using features like gaze, gestures, speech recognition, spatial sound, spatial mapping and occlusion. All features are explained, build with Visual Studio and Unity and demonstrated with live demos. You will learn the fundamental basics and building blocks for Mixed Reality app

Innovate: connecting Bleeding Edge Technologies

During this session we will combine the latest bleeding edge technology together, like Azure, Mixed Reality and Machine Learning. Getting relevant people through the Microsoft Graph and use everything we want to know about their relations by using machine learning. And all of this in a secure way... On top of that we present and manipulate the data into 3D space using a HoloLens device. Learn about how to make these connections, learn about security challenges and understand the transformation to 3D spaces into different models and representations. And finally learn about manipulating the data.

Mixed Reality and HoloLens as part of your industry

This session will give an introductory of the HoloLens device and how it works. We continue by explaining according to different scenarios how you could benefit from HoloLens in different industries. Of course supported with some live demonstrations.

Tips and tricks which help you to build even better Mixed Reality apps for HoloLens

There is so much to learn when you build Mixed Reality apps for HoloLens. Instead of just discuss a single subject lets walk through a number of tips and tricks around development in Unity and Visual Studio, debugging, deployments, toolkits and many more in this session. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or advanced when it comes to Mixed Reality for HoloLens. There will be some tips and tricks for you too. Each of them will definitely improve your skills when it comes to building Mixed Reality apps for HoloLens.

UX best practices for HoloLens

It’s a whole new ball game when it comes to UX design for HoloLens. You will need to think differently when designing and building UX for Mixed Reality applications. Not only are you operating in 3D space, you have a lot of other features on the HoloLens which can influence the way your interface could work. Think about spatial mapping, interaction with holograms, haptic feedback, fluent design in 3D space and more. This session will teach you on a functional level what are the best practices from Microsoft and from our own experiences when it comes building a UX for you HoloLens app.

Empower your workers using Remote Assist

Microsoft offers a broad range of solutions modernizing field services with Mixed Reality for technicians. It empowers them by offering modern tools like Mixed Reality devices, Video calls, Annotations and File Sharing capabilities. These tools allow field service workers to solve complex problems even faster, collaborate together with experts and gives them easy access to work orders. During this session we will demonstrate features and show how Dynamics 365 Remote Assist can be used in different scenarios using Microsoft HoloLens 2 and mobile devices.

Bringing two worlds together... the intelligent cloud and mixed reality

Bringing the intelligent cloud allows us to explore new ways of interacting with the digital world. The cloud offers us a broad set of intelligent services like the cognitive services. One of them is called Vision and allows us to smartly identify images and video by using the custom vision api. In this session we will be developing a rich Mixed Reality app using Windows ML to use a trained machine learning model. Windows ML allows us to locally evaluate trained models on a Mixed Reality device without the concern of connectivity and bandwidth. We will be touching Unity, Visual Studio, Custom Vision and Windows ML in combination with ONNX.

Empower your workers using Microsoft Guides

Microsoft offers a broad range of out-of-the-box solutions for the Mixed Reality market. One of them is creating customized training modules for new workers on the factory floor. Using Dynamics 365 and Microsoft HoloLens 2 we are able to create augmented training which allows new workers to be more quickly in learning their daily job, support workers in complex tasks and even guide audits. The session will go through all the features, show how to build a guide and ends with how guides can be extended using Power Platform. All content is supported by demos and examples.

Intelligent applications with Kinect for Azure

In this session we will explain how you can use Azure Machine Learning in combination with Kinect for Azure to recognize objects inside a Windows desktop app. We will explain how Kinect for Azure works, What tools are available, how to connect to the device and how you can start building your intelligent apps. Live demos will be used during the session with an actual Kinect for Azure device.
