Back in 2019 I was using Liveview Pre-0.1, for an interactive treasure hunt for guests leading up to my wedding. Now I'm hacking on physical computer concepts, including a Go board that plays against you with no visible computer present.

Celebrating the un-sung hero of dev careers: the random side project.
We'll look at a selection of weird and wonderful projects (all elixir-powered, of course) and talk about the feedback loop of creative coding.
How it leads to wider skills, more career success, and provides a hedge against our AI overlords.
Modelling challenges we hit when building novel UI
At Upmail we build content management tools for hotels, and we've been experimenting with new ways to provide automated assistance. Things like copilots and smart suggestions, which are becoming more common as LLM use spreads.
These features stray from common resource patterns, leading to Ash and Liveview approaches that I haven't personally seen before.
In this talk I'll cover what we've learned, with a focus on domain modelling and human-computer interaction.
